Laurel Quinn

Projects & Media Executive

Laurel is our Projects & Media Executive, assisting with communications and project administration. Laurel researches, writes and edits competition documentation including design briefs and invitation flyers, and is particularly adept at drafting jury reports which succinctly synthesise the jury’s decision at the conclusion of a competition.

Laurel also administers competition processes, supports competitors on a day-to-day basis, and liaises with clients, including Houston Endowment; the National Gallery; Transport for London; the National Railway Museum; and Jeddah Central Development Company.

Additionally, Laurel assists with the coordination of MRC’s media and comms output, including drafting media releases and website copy, updating MRC’s website and social media, and monitoring the audiences of competition websites.

Prior to joining MRC in 2019, Laurel gained communication and administrative skills as an admissions officer at St Catherine’s College, Oxford. She is passionate about increasing accessibility to heritage and volunteers to run family events at local museums. She also enjoys travel, photography and playing the piano.

Laurel has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Anthropology from the University of Oxford.
