MRC may also collect email addresses from publicly accessible information and use these to contact you regarding potential business opportunities. This information will be collected and used under the legitimate interest basis for data processing, that interest being your wish to be told about our news and competitions. This information will be used for one-off email contact, and will not be added to our mailing list unless you give us your permission to do this.

On occasion, we may gather information about your computer for our services and to provide statistical information regarding the use of our website.
Such information will not identify you by name; it is statistical data about our visitors and their use of our site.

Our mailing list
MRC uses MailChimp as our marketing automation platform to administer our mailing lists and send out emails. By joining our mailing list, you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms.
Storing your personal data
We may transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside of the European Economic Area for processing and storing. Also, it may be processed by staff operating outside the European Economic Area who work for us or for one of our suppliers. For example, such staff may be engaged in the processing and concluding of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that your data is treated securely and in agreement with this Privacy Policy.

Where you provide data to us in relation to a competition entry, MRC will store your data for a maximum of 5 years, after which it will be archived for statistical purposes.

You have the right to complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner if you think we have infringed your rights. If you would like to let us know of your complaint first we will do our best to address it.

Please note that MRC reserves the right to charge an administration fee of up to £10 for requests which are deemed excessive or unfounded, or where further copies of information are requested in addition to the original response.
