As Projects Coordinator, Robert provides day-to-day support across specific MRC competitions, undertaking research, coordinating client and competitor correspondence, and contributing to competition documentation.
Since joining MRC in 2024, Robert has worked on a range of international competitions, including an urban masterplanning competition to transform a spiritually significant city in the Middle East and an adaptive reuse competition for an iconic modernist building.
Robert’s interest in how architecture creates a sense of place was catalysed through his study of English architectural history at university. He is particularly interested in the need for quality architecture that creates lasting value.
Before joining MRC, Robert lived in South Korea. After teaching English for a year, he went on to study Korean at Korea University in Seoul to the highest proficiency level.
Outside of work, Robert plays the trumpet and bass guitar, enjoys watching live music and collecting vinyl records.
Robert has a BA in History from Durham University.
